Foundation Course for Engineering Students

Course Contents

The first semester is fully focused on Russian language training: building reading, writing, speaking and oral comprehension skills necessary for both academic understanding and daily communication. In the second semester, they go on mastering their language proficiency at the course of Russian for University Studies and also develop advanced learning competences including presentation and seminar participation strategies, time and materials management, meeting deadlines and responding feedback. The specialty part of the curriculum provides foundations in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science which are a the main part of developing both the theoretical and practical applications of engineering and technology. Meanwhile, the students also get into practice of Technical Russian, which includes learning about the style of technical documents, their structuring and layout in order to produce clear and organized content.
