Technology is definitely the thing that rules the world every field today, so engineering and IT studies, among other forms of vocational training are becoming immensely popular. However, this is also an ever-changing and constantly developing environment, where one needs to be highly competitive – so if you dare to try, this program combining engineering specialism modules with extensive linguistic training – is for you!
The first semester is fully focused on Russian language training, building reading, writing, speaking and oral comprehension skills necessary for both academic understanding and everyday communication. As a key outcome, the students achieve the language level required to go on with specialty courses.
In the second semester, they go on mastering their language proficiency through the course of Russian for University Studies, and also develop advanced learning competences, including presentation and seminar participation strategies, time and materials management, meeting deadlines and responding feedback. The specialty part of the curriculum provides foundations in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science which are a salient part of developing both the theoretical and practical applications of engineering and technology. Meanwhile, the students also get into the practice of Technical Russian, which includes learning about the style of technical documents, their structuring and layout in order to produce clear and organized content.
This program provides excellent preparation for graduate studies in the fields of technology, mechanical, electronic, automotive, chemical or medical engineering, computing and mathematics. It is also needless to say that technical education today is a self-evident career credential. After successfully completing the program, students will become fully prepared to enter relevant bachelor programs of the Ural Federal University – which is a first step to professional advancement.
