Workshops series "Introduction to the beauty of Russian Culture"

Preparatory Department for foreign students UrFU invites international students of Ekaterinburg learning the Russian Language to attend series of workshops

Date: 14 May 2022 (Saturday)

Time: 13.00-16.00 (registration starts at 12.30)

Place: 4 Turgeneva str.,Ground floor, UrFU Canteen (entrance from Turgeneva str., after the entrance turn right)

Program of the Event:

• exciting lecture about Russian Culture
• various workshops to choose (glass-painting, decoupage, watercolor scatching, doll-making, Cooking Russian pancakes(Blini), Besom-making)
• games, round dance and folk music
• traditional tea party
• practice of the Russian Language

Workshops to choose: 

• Glass-painting

painting on a glass surface with special colours

• Decoupage

decorating a cup coaster by gluing colored paper with special Russian and Ural themes

• Water-colour Scatching

painting a beautiful water-colour illustration on a traditional theme

• Doll-making

a traditional Russian talisman made from fabrics and natural materials

• Cooking Russian pancakes(Blini)

one of the most popular easy-to-cook Russian dishes

• Besom-making

an essential atribute in the Russian banya, which brings health and amazing smell
