Course Contents

The first semester is fully focused on Russian language training, building reading, writing, speaking and oral comprehension skills necessary for both academic understanding and everyday communication. As a key outcome, the students achieve the language level required to go on with specialty courses.

In the second semester, they go on mastering their language proficiency through the course of Russian for University Studies, and also develop advanced learning competences, including presentation and seminar participation strategies, time and materials management, meeting deadlines and responding feedback. Specialized courses within the curriculum, including Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics focus on developing key competencies necessary for healthcare specialists and provide solid theoretical foundation one day to be used in regulated practice. Meanwhile, they learn the unique structure, style, process, and documentation required for Scientific Russian, in order to cope with medical documentation in the future.
